Depth filters basically is a maze-like, extremely fine three-dimensional sieve with huge number of branched micro channels. They form a structure with a void volume of 70 - 85% of the total volume of the depth filter. This is indicative of the high dirt holding capacity, amount to almost 4 L/sq. m. of filter area. Pall/Seitz special manufacturing process provides a highly permeable void volume with a characteristic, very high dirt holding capacity.
